Terrell Ghost Walk Frequently asked questions
Is this a historical tour?
The history we share is only that we speculate has relevance to a particular haunting or ghost story.
The tour is focused on true perceived paranormal experiences.
Is it Family Friendly?
We do not tell details of horror or gore, but there is mention of suicide and murder relevant to our stories.
Some children are pretty bored with the tour; others enjoy it.
There may be responsible alcohol use by guests during the investigation portion. As well, guests often share frightening stories.
You are the best judge of your child’s temperament regarding these issues.
We adore having young guests, but I highly recommend scheduling a private tour where we can provide age-appropriate activities on the walk and an investigation of the haunted theater.
Give us a call and let us know if you want to set something up, and we are more than happy to work with you and your kiddo. We do our best to make them feel special and ensure they have a good time.
You can find our contact information at the bottom of this page.
What is your refund policy?
We ask that you provide about 24 hours to refund or reschedule your tour. This is simply because we limit our groups to 6 people.
Of course, we understand that emergencies come up, so we take each refund on a case-by-case basis.
If we can fill your reservation, we will issue a full refund, less a fee of about $2.50 that our scheduling program charges.
There are no refunds for no-shows.
Can I record the tour on audio or video?
You are allowed to record the investigation in the haunted courtyard. Recording guests’ personal stories are strictly prohibited. Anyone violating that rule will be dismissed from the tour.
We do not mind if you record short segments of video or audio during the walking part of the tour. Documenting the entire tour takes the fun out of the experience for others if shared on social media.
What are your amenities?
There are no amenities during the first hour of the tour so please be sure to bring something to drink and go to the bathroom.
We do provide flashlights, electromagnetic field detectors, and a great experience.
During the second hour of the tour, you will have access to beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a bathroom.
Is the tour ADA accessible?
The walking tour is completely wheelchair accessible. I have personally delivered the tour while in a wheelchair. The door threshold of the courtyard and the entrance to Side Street may be a bit challenging but certainly doable.
If you are able to walk but have a disability, including lower back issues, you may consider bringing a rolling walker with a seat. There is a some degree of standing required. Others may bring a simple camp stool that easily folds and is light weight.
I’ve given this tour plenty of times and I have severe disabilities in my right foot, both knees, and low back. I am also overweight. I struggle a bit the first couple of tours but can still do it as long as I sit when the opportunity is available.
How can I reach you with other questions?
Our contact information can be found at the bottom of this webpage.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Do you offer private tours?
Absolutely. If we have a qualified tour guide available, we can arrange a private tour. The fee structure is slightly different depending upon group size.
For 2 people, the charge is $40 per person, but we include a copy of our book for free.
For 3 or more people, the charge is $30 per person.
The haunted venue may change based on the day, the tour time, and the audience.
We can accommodate more than 6 people for private tours if you are coming as a group, such as a birthday party.
We do ask for as much notice as possible but might be able to offer same-day tours, depending upon tour guide availability.
