Terrell Paranormal Ghost Walk Photo and Video Contest
Don't Miss Out: Our Thrilling Contest is Back and Better Than Ever!
Our popular Terrell Paranormal Ghost Walk photo and video contest is returning! We're still finalizing the details, but here's what we know so far.Our Followers Name the Winners, Not the Team Members
As your tour guides, we won't comment on any photographs you capture during our tours. There are a few reasons for this:
- We weren't the ones who took the photograph, so we don't have the complete context.
- We don't want to spoil the fun for anyone.
- This entire business began with a photograph we initially believed was paranormal, only to explain it years later. By then, we had experienced such extreme personal paranormal encounters that we were 100% convinced. However, we wouldn't have reached that point without that one initially unexplained photograph.
Instead, we hold a photo contest at the end of the season, with judging handled by our social media followers to ensure fairness and impartiality. We will award three prizes, each worth approximately $100 in merchandise, gift certificates, and more, to the winners. Our followers on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok will choose the winners.
While we, as tour guides, refrain from commenting on potentially paranormal photographs, we've witnessed many instances over the years that were simply light reflections or pareidolia. However, we've also seen things that have truly confused and astounded us. We'll award four prizes, each valued at approximately $100. Two prizes will go to the most convincing potential paranormal photos, and two will be for the best overall photos of the city, tour group, buildings, or other related subjects. The contest will take place during our break between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Specific dates and prizes will be announced closer to the event.
The paranormal photo with the most comments and votes will be our first-place winner. We will also have a winner for an incredible photo of a building, street, or other aspect of the Terrell Ghost Walk that stands out the most. The final first-place prize will be awarded to the best and most commented-on video. This can be paranormal in nature or simply an incredible video you wish to submit related to the Terrell Ghost Walk, its buildings, or other aspects of the city.
Tips for Capturing Paranormal Photographs
For more information on how to take great paranormal photographs, please read our article, "Photographing the Paranormal: Capturing the Unseen."Submitting Your Photos and Videos
If you've been on the tour previously this year and have captured great photos, please feel free to submit them. If you've been on the tour this year and felt you didn't have enough time to stop and get the photos you wanted, please contact us via the "Contact Us" tab and submit a request for any scheduled tour date. We'd be happy to have you join us on another active tour to snap photos or take videos.
We encourage you to post your photos to social media if you'd like immediate feedback, but you will still need to submit your photo or video below so we can add it to the queue for voting day.
Please ensure you either watermark your photo or at least include your full name and email address so we can contact you. Any submitted photos may be used in future promotions, and credit will be given for your submission. The photo you submit must be directly from the device it was taken with. In other words, please do not send us photos that have been circulated on social media and saved via a "right-click." To effectively do our jobs, we truly need the original data as it was captured. If you have questions about this, please reach out.Why Your Photos Are Important to Us
We at Terrell Ghosts cannot wait to see the snapshots you've taken during our tours. It's amazing what so many people can catch when they're paying attention. We may be busy providing tour information, and things often go unnoticed. Additionally, finders, because they shoot infrared, can see outside our visual spectrum with the naked eye. This means you may not see something when you look around with your bare eyes, but as soon as you look through that viewfinder and start taking photos, you might realize there's a shadow figure walking down the street. We've seen weirder things than that!
So, if you find something interesting, please let us know by submitting it. We will examine your picture, but unless we see modifications from ghost program apps, we will let our followers decide.
